Polka Dots

Polka! Polka! Polka dots! One of Yvanka's pasalubong dress from her lola Juvy and this is my favorite! The colors are just the right combination! But let me tell you the real story behind these pictures. Lolo and Lola were getting dressed when I thought that they would bring Yvanka along with them but to our dismay iiwan pala siya, feelingera lang pala nanay ni Yvanka! Hahahaha Since lolo is to report to his agency and they have other errands to attend to that morning, they  decided to leave the little girl instead of dragging her along with them. However, before we knew na di pala siya isasama, we already dressed her up. Unfortunately, the not-so-nice-part of dressing this little girl up is that, you are to expect she would go crazy about going out. She has this feeling that when she is dressed with oh-so-nice clothes, she looks pretty good and there is a need to show it off. Opo, feel na feel nya po every outfit she gets to wear! And if you praise her, she seems to know exactly what you mean every word of it with! So much for being a toddler, two years old at that!

So we had to get her out of the house just to pacify her from her sudden and violent crying, the thing is, it did not stop there, she would really want to go somewhere, she really knows, when to make lamierda (this is when you put some nice clothes on) and when to just play with the kids outside (this is when you wear some house clothes on, alam nya pinagkaiba nung dalawa!) This girl really knows what she wants, so bawal paasa! Hahaha! Since di nga po siya isasama, we have to bring her to mini
stop just to pull up an excuse why she was dressed that way, lolo providesd for her bribe money hehehe! to have a good look on the details of this outfit here goes....

About her dress, this was bought from Thailand, I did not ask as to how much kasi baka pagbayarin ako nang lola nya so I have no idea if this is a good buy dress or not! Hehe However, one thing is for sure, this one sure looks good on my model! Agree or disagree? Hehe! Pagbigyan nyo na, nanay lang po ako, I love my own! Sa uulitin mga friends! Happy weekend!

Corporate Attire

Lolo and lola are home! We even went  to the airport to pick them up last Monday night, sayang nga lang I was not able to get a decent photo of Yvanka's outfit, which by the way, was suppose to be dedicated to the baristas (law school graduates) since its bar month. Happy bar exams! Hehe I have a few shots taken but not really that nice, nonetheless, it will do, for now.

The sunnies is the same sunnies in my previous post The Birthday Girl. Her spike bracelet is actually custome made for her, one of those do-it-yourself project since I can't find a bracelet for her wrist size. So I bought the spikes and a string and tied them up. Her blue chic shoulder bag was also bought from SM just like her pink bag from my older post. Her bag is a chain shoulder bag but I advice moms to just have those bags with handles, Yvanka had a hard time holding this on her shoulders! (antay-antay nalang this bag for this girl to grow up a little bit more) The necklace was bought to match the bag which was way cheaper than those sold on-line from where I bought it, my haven of accessories, a flashy bracelet since neon colors are so in! Her animal print bandage skirt was bought for less than a hundred bucks (for details where and how much is the exact cost of this outfit, I am just an email away, you can email me at k.dagpin@yahoo.com) And as to her, blazer, it's trifted and cost around a hundred bucks more or less. Definitely a good buy! At first, I had second thoughts of buying it, since I thought it would be too big for Yvanka, but the kikayness in me won me over and the thought of the little sweet kiddo who would always try my corporate blazer on every time I went home from school so I ended up buying this cute black blazer with some floral accent attached to it. Also, a hairnet with a clip was used to tie up her messy hair, to add that "mature look" in her outfit.

I am really planning on letting Yvanka have another photoshoot since one of my sister's friend Ms. Lovelle who is into photography wants to have Yvanka as her subject! Lucky kid ey? but luckier mom, I must say. hehehe This is a joy to every mother's heart, when friends ask to give Yvanka some free pictorial! Weeeeh! That means, great photos without me spending!  The whole point that I am
driving at is, she will be wearing the same dress in the shoot, so that I will be able to post better photos of her with her corporate attire with some kikay touch! Hehe I can't wait!

The Birthday Girl

Let's  rewind time some 18 days back (imaginin mo nalang ang sound effects nung pagrerewind...tumawa ka, kasi joke to!) It's Yvanka's second birthday! Hooooray! It was a fun-filled day for me and the little girl because we went to Manila Ocean Park to see some fishda!  What a joy to see this little girl smile from ear to ear with amazement fill her eyes, she's in cloud nine! But before the big day (yes another rewind na naman to! Hehe) I was really thinking hard what will be Yvanka's outfit, so to begin with I decided to have something classy, elegant and chic at the same time, not the typical toddler dress with all the colorful prints on it. I bought the bag and the shoes ahead of the dress together with Tin, I opted for the beige bag with exactly the same design as the one shown below, but since I asked for Tin's opinion (by the way she's bias to anything pink) So eventually she got me convinced with her contention that it would look good on the pink shoes we already bought! So pink it was!

Her shoes was from Sugar Kids, you can buy it for Php199 per pair but they also sell it at Php375 for a pair of two!  (Ayan libre plugging yan ha! Hahaha!) it's really a good buy actually, if you compare it with other brands which would cost around Php600 plus. The nice thing about this shoes is that it's made of some sort of cloth and would not hurt your little tot's feet for long walks not to mention it is very comfortable too! And there are variety of colors for you to choose from!

To continue with my story, since lolo and lola gave a monetary gift for Yvanka (inutusan po akong bumili nang regalo, baby alive daw, eh mahal, so si Lalaloopsy  binili ko at pinanshopping namin ang sukli, oy ha! Mahal din naman si lalaloopsy, just in case my papa and mama happens to read this, peksman! Hehe)

Days after that, I looked for her dress which by the way was the hardest part! Haha When I was in SM, I searched every dress that could probably fit the description I have been concocting in my head for days, when my feet took me to the grizzly girl section of the department store and I feel in love with the dress the moment I laid my eyes on it, it was like, made just for Yvanka, just the perfect dress! Originally, the belt was red and since I sort of had the "pink theme" already, I bought another belt to match the shoes and the bag! And the output?! Viola!! An executive looking toddler! Hehehe

However, her watch, we bought it in Manila OceanPark, they have shops there that  sell different kinds of goods, from dress, shoes pens, slippers, watches and many more!

Oh! As to her sunnies? It was also bought in SM, it was not the first sunnies I bought for her birthday really, the first was actually an aviator shades however it was too big for her so I bought another one, which was more  appropriate for the outfit! Her sunnies by the way has a small red ribbon detail on the upper right corner, which is really cute for its bedazzled! Shining, shimmering splendid! Hehe

Getting to know Yvanka

First post! Haha! Well, let me begin by introducing the featured model of this blog, she goes by the name Kiara Yvanka P. Dagpin. Kiara means "bright" and Yvanka means "God is gracious". Yes, God  is really gracious for entrusting to us this little girl. Born on the 20th of September 2010 at exactly 12:57 noon time, she weighed 7.7 pounds then.

We actually waited for her to come to our midst for almost two years after her father and I got married. So to make the long story short, I just woke up one day and decided to make a fashion blog for this little girl since trumetrending siya sa Facebook! Chos! Hehe I am currently arranging things for this blog, at dahil sa bago ako rito, expect hope asahan ang mga pagkakamali! Geeeeesh! This is hard! Hahaha

This picture was actually taken last April 2011, Yvanka was only 7 months old then when the beautiful, Ms. Itikka Onada asked this little girl to be the her subject in a photo shoot, which I gladly accepted! ikaw ba naman sabihan na gawing model anak mo, without me, emptying my pocket. Libre pa ang aming lunch ni very beautiful photographer! Thank you again te! Yes, it was indeed a tiring day for us but every sweat and effort paid off when we saw all the photos! Her red dress was actually the dress I asked my maternal grandmother to sew for Yvanka's baptism which she wore only once and the headress was actually bought from a shop in Manila.

This second outfit was actually trifted from a local store in Iligan City, I actually bought this for less than a hundred bucks if my memory serves me right. And the hat, was bought at Gaisano Mall but the accent yellow flower was bought from Manila. I just attached the flower with the hat to give it a little swag. The basket however was provided by the photographer.
